Chalk Company is a Sydney-based 3D and motion design studio managed by Miles and Hannah. We have been delivering creative projects for over 10 years and are specialists in design and motion. We work direct to client as well as with creative agencies and production studios.
We are open to a wide range of creative challenges, but a typical project for us will often involve either 3D modelling and animation, creating 2D animations to explain concepts or producing high quality CG stills for campaigns.

Motion Design
This is the foundational skill of our studio and where we got our foothold in the industry. We can handle any challenge that involves 2D or 3D animation and have extensive experience in delivering a wide range of projects including; explainer videos, motion brand assets, show intros and brand films. We can handle every aspect of the process from design exploration to storyboarding to animation and sound design, and deliver outputs that look great on every platform.
We are experts in 3D modelling and animation. We use these skills to help clients showcase unique features or functionality of their products or visualise complex processes of their service. We take pride in creating detailed, production-ready, models and transforming them with bold motion.
3D Modelling and Animation
Using our 3D pipeline, we can produce high quality abstract or product stills for use across your website, print and social media channels. A 3D pipeline allows you total control in creative direction as we can build unique environments for products, test multiple lighting setups quickly and create abstract elements that wouldn’t be possible in a traditional photography setting.

Brand Assets
As part of our work with creative / branding agencies, we are often engaged to create abstract 2D / 3D visuals to live within the end-client’s brand toolkit. We have experience delivering beautiful and abstract looping visuals, dynamic animated logos and stills that can be flexibly added to ads, websites and presentations.
Product Visualisation
Not only do we help established brands put their products into motion for advertising, but we also help emerging brands transform their product sketches or CAD models into refined models with texture and lighting. High quality stills and animations can help promote products that are still in production or help manufacturers better understand the details of what you’d like to create.
Explainer Videos + Production
We have extensive experience delivering explainer videos for the finance, technology and government / NGO industries. We can handle every aspect of production including scripting, design exploration, storyboarding, animation, voice over (via our preferred suppliers) and sound design.
