Fool’s Errand EP 3D Visuals
Project overview:
Air Max ‘97 is an electronic artist based in Australia, producing dancefloor focused music that exists across a range of genres. AM97 approached us to produce the artwork for his Fool’s Errand EP as well as a series of motion clips that could be remixed into visualisers across social media and streaming platforms.
AM97 had a strong idea for the artwork, desiring to anchor the visuals around a device without purpose. The device was to be complex, industrial and show elements of assembly that are normally hidden within finished products.
To achieve this, we worked closely with AM97 to sketch, experiment and iterate a 3D model that matched the music and the brief. Details such as interior plastic molding, interlocking elements and wired connections then gave us ample content to turn the key visual into a series of animated 3D renders that could be flexibly used by the artist.
